What We Know

This special will see the return of the Cybermen (of the design of the parallel universe's Cybus Industries Cybermen), following their previous appearance in the two-part finale of series two in 2006, "Army of Ghosts"/"Doomsday". It will feature a new mutant Cyberman called Cybershade on Earth in Victorian England and an extended trailer, premièred at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2008, revealed that the special is set on Christmas Eve 1851.

The half-Human Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor was created as a result of an instantaneous biological meta crisis. Regenerative energies present within The Doctor's severed hand combined with the Human DNA of Donna Noble when she touched the hand's casing. The force of the reaction shattered the case allowing the energy to regenerate the entire missing body of the Doctor creating a Time Lord/Human hybrid, a hybrid that possessed one heart; aged as Humans do and with no regenerative ability to avoid death. As a result of growing partially from Donna's DNA the new Doctor picked up parts of Donna's mannerisms but maintained that he possessed the same memories, thoughts and feelings of the original Doctor--essentially they were the same man with physiological differences. However, the original Doctor is quick to point out his new double was born in battle, full of blood, anger and revenge which enabled him to commit genocide against the Daleks; an act the original Doctor greatly condemns after the events of the Last Great Time War. Feeling his new half-Human counterpart is too dangerous to be left to his own devices, the Doctor entrusts him to Rose Tyler taking the two of them back to Bad Wolf Bay in the parallel universe dubbed Pete's World. The Doctor tells Rose that his half-Human self needs her, as he is angry and vengeful like he once was when he met Rose as the Ninth Doctor. He tells her that she made him better, and now she can do the same for his other half-Human self. She objects to this at first, insisting the new Doctor isn't really him despite the Doctor's assurance that they are the same man and the half-Human Doctor offering to spend the rest of his life with her. However, Rose then asks both Doctors what was the last thing they said to her when they were previously standing on Bad Wolf Bay. The Doctor is unable to give her a direct answer only allowing himself to hint: "does it really need saying?" At this point she turns to the half-Human Doctor and poses the same question, to which he steps forward and whispers the answer his other self could not say in her ear. Seemingly overcome with the revelation of his answer, Rose grabs the lapels of the half-Human Doctor and pulls him into a passionate kiss, which he reciprocates. The Doctor looks on sadly for a brief moment before returning with Donna to the TARDIS and leaving the parallel world for good without saying goodbye to Rose. As the doors of the TARDIS slam shut, Rose and the half-Human Doctor break from their kiss, but it is too late. The Doctor has already left and the half-Human Doctor takes Rose's hand as they watch the TARDIS dematerialise for the last time.

After Davros was rescued by Dalek Caan and had finished creating his new army of Daleks, he used a planet sized ship known as the Crucible to travel the universe and "steal" planets. Earth was the final planet to be taken by Davros. He took the planets to the Medusa Cascade where he and his Daleks awaited the arival of the Doctor in a pocket of time 1 second out of sync with the rest of the universe. Davros used advanced technology to hack into the wavelengths of the Subwave Network and talk to the Doctor, explaining to his nemesis how he had survived. It quickly became apparent that Davros had once again become a slave to the Daleks rule who placed him under guard within the Vault on the Crucible as part of a deal he made with the Supreme One. (If Davros was indeed a slave, it is puzzling as to why there was a terminal in his prison, which could be used to control every aspect of the Daleks travel machines and the Crucible, especially as it did appear to be appeasable by Dalek implements. Donna and the Doctor used this to destroy the Daleks). This arrangement required Davros to build a Reality bomb powered by the Crucible. The 27 planets in the Medusa Cascade, which would destroy all of existence leaving the Daleks the sole inhabitants of the universe. His plan failed due to the intervention of the Doctor and Donna Noble who destroyed the Dalek race once more leaving Davros on a burning Crucible. Before leaving in the TARDIS, the Doctor offered to save Davros but the creator of the Daleks refused stating that he named the Doctor the destroyer of worlds, after which he was apparently engulfed in flames.

The Time Beetle was an insectoid creature capable of manipulating time. It looked like a huge stag beetle. It was used by, or was part of, the Trickster's Brigade. With the help of humans within the brigade, or at least a Fortune Teller, it was attached to unsuspecting victims after which it changed a key event in their lives. It existed in a state of flux which meant that it could not be touched. It was also invisible to humans, except to some extra sensitive ones where the difference between the normal and new timeline was unusually great. It was also visible in the Circle of Mirrors but that may have been due to the time technology that was present. The Time Beetle attached itself to Donna Noble and in turn created a parallel world around her in which she never met The Doctor. With Rose Tyler's help, she was able to go back in time to the beginning of the new timeline and stop herself from changing it, at which point she was able to free herself of the Time Beetle. It released itself and died from the tremendous force.

The Midnight entity is some sort of extraterrestial lifeform of unknown origins native to the planet Midnight.
When the Crusader Tour shuttle breaks down on Midnight, the mechanic notices a strange thing like a shadow of some sort, which he claimed to see it running toward the shuttle. During the Crusader Tour to the Sapphire Waterfall, the strange entity attacked the tour bus. The entity at first knocked on the Shuttle and then, when it had found a host, somehow made it inside the shuttle, without any sign of a hole in the vehicle. The entity, without a host, was strong enough to rip away the cockpit of the shuttle. It possessed Sky Silvestry. The entity seemed to gather the strength of its host and then repeats every word a person said in exact precisions, including the square root of Pi in 30 decimal places. This is most likely due to the fact that having probably never come into contact with another lifeform before it can not understand the english language. The being seems to be able to learn at an incredibly rapid pace and absorbs the passengers speech without forgetting, hesitating, or making a single mistake. Eventually, the entity copied word-for-word in the exact same time, focusing on the Doctor's voice, and eventually stealing the the Doctor's voice, before the Hostess threw herself and Sky, who had the entity inside of her, off the shuttle to save the Doctor.

Vashta Nerada had existed since the early Universe, and spread to many planets across the Universe. They were rare, and on some planets such as Earth they survived by scavenging meat from dead animals often those that had been killed on the many roads. In the 50th century, however, one planet suffered a large infestation. The Library was attacked by quadrillions (it would be difficult to estimate just how many there were as the computer capped at 1 trillion) of Vashta Nerada due to the spores inside the books' paper hatching. There were no survivors, and the planet was empty for 100 years until an archaeological expedition and the Doctor with Donna Noble landed on the planet. In this time, the Doctor was given advice on how to deal with the Vashta Nerada. This was; "Count the shadows." The Doctor later gives the Archaeological team a caution to "Stay out of the shadows."

Vashta Nerada were small, carnivorous beings. Their name meant “shadows that melt the flesh”, and that’s what they could do. The Vashta Nerada were microscopic beings that lived in swarms, thousands strong. Swarms of them lived on almost every planet, which had organisms with meat. While these swarms were not common, they inspired a fear of the dark in most species across the Universe. Vashta Nerada swarms hunted in forests because they hatched from their spores there. These swarms were able to strip a creature to its bare bones in milliseconds. The Doctor described them as "piranhas of the air". The swarms lived in the darkness, and cast shadows when they entered the light - even to the extent of stopping the reach of light from fission lamps. Vashta Nerada were capable of latching their shadows onto a victim's shadow and changing to appearance of their shadow to that of their victim's. This would cause the victim to have two shadows. If the swarms were discovered, they could enter at least through a thick spacesuit and devour the body. They could then use the suit as a vessel to attack more prey.

Vespiforms are an insectoid race that look like extremely over-sized wasps. They were able to transform into other species. When they did transform, they would give off a bright pink-purple glow, and left behind morphic residue. When they are in another form, they can breed with members of the species its form is. Vespiforms also had telepathic recorders, an essential part of their mind, which could record motivations for them. One such recorder, the Firestone, ended up in the hands of Clemency Eddison in 1885. In 1885, one arrived on Earth and had a child with Clemency Eddison. It drowned in the monsoon of that year. The child was sent to be adopted and eventually ended up as a reverend, Arnold Golightly. At the age of 40 in 1926, had discovered his Vespiform nature. Because of the influence of Agatha Christie's novels and the Firestone, Golighty started committing various murders before Agatha Christie controlled him to end up near a lake. Donna Noble arrived with the Doctor and threw the Firestone into the lake. Golighty (in Vespiform form) followed and drowned, but relieved Agatha of his connection with her in his dying moment.

The Hath were a humanoid race with purpley-orange fish-like skin and a small headcrest running along the top of their heads. They were slightly taller than most near-humans. They breathed nutrient liquid rather then air and so when in a human-breathable atmosphere they used a breathing instrument attached to their mouth. Just like the humans, the Hath used Progenation chambers and generation chambers to produce more soldiers for the war between the humans and the Hath, even though they had once been allies. However, with the death of the mission commander, there was a power vacuum and both species fought to take the planet for their own. The Hath carried heavy duty blaster rifles that fired a barrage of bullets usually accompanied by a long plume of flames emmited from the barrel of the gun. The humans carried guns with the same overall effect but with a different design. They breathed and communicated, using their breathing structures on their faces. They also had the same holographic mapping system as the humans and when the Doctor uncovered the suppressed layer of information it showed up on the Hath map as well. After a seven-day battle, the two races found the "Source", an artefact that mythologisation had led them to believe was the breath of the creator. Due to the efforts of the Doctor, Jenny, Donna Noble and Martha Jones, the Source was broken and terraforming gases within escaped, and the two races were to peace.

The Sontarans used a form of hypnosis on the workers of the ATMOS factory, forcing them to start shipping out devices that contained gases poisonous to humans, contained inside plates attached to the Sat-navs they sold. When the Doctor interfered with their plans, they attempted to kill him by using the plate on a UNIT car to drive it into a river. It failed, but this was unknown to them until the Doctor began fiddling with a plate, causing it to become active. The Sontarans activated all the plates in every car containing one. The gas was released into the air, choking people around it. It also deadlocked the car preventing escape from inside. They cloned Martha, and used her and her security pass to help. The Sontarans plans were revealed: they actually wanted to change the Earth into a cloning planet to make a billion more Sontarans. The clone Martha died when the real Martha became conscious again. The Sontarans started to realise they were being defeated, when the Valiant and UNIT started destroying part of the ATMOS factory, with Sontarans still inside. The Doctor got rid of the toxic smoke by using an atmospheric converter to burn up the gas in the atmosphere. The Doctor nearly blew up the Sontaran ship while still inside, and giving the aliens a chance, but they did not mind dying, and they knew the Doctor would not do it. Rattigan swapped places, using a teleport and the fleet was destroyed.

The Sontarans are potato headed, short aliens from the planet Sontar, who are all clones, and are at eternal war with they’re worst enemy, the Rutans. Naturally, as clones, all Sontarans look the same. They have a grey/brown skin, and wear tough armour. They normally have two fingers and on thumb on their hands, and their species only consisted of males. They were short, due to the large amount of gravity on they’re home planet, Sontar. They were able to produce one million clones every four minutes. They do not fear death, but are a war-obsessed race. They find it honourable to go into war without a helmet. Sontarans’ only weak spot is their probic vent, at the back of their neck. One blow to the back of the neck knocks them unconscious. This is why they must always face their enemies in battle. Sontarans have massive motherships, that have 4 claw like appendages coming out of the top and 4 from the bottom the centre is a giant circle covered in smaller spheres that are Sontaran scout ships. Scout ships are silver and have a square glass like pane to see from. Each scout ship can hold a single Sontaran. In this story, they used rifle laser weapons during the assault which fired bright beams of red light that could kill a human without any exterior damage.

The Ood had a total of three brains. One forebrain in their heads, and a hindbrain, in which they originally hold in the hands. Their hindbrain allowed them to connect to a single large brain, which connected and coordinated all individual Ood. When in the servitude of humans, their hindbrain was removed and a translation sphere fitted in place, not only to enable speech, but also to limit their telepathic communications field at "Basic 5" which cut them off from the Ood Brain, making them willing to serve and incapable of surviving on their own. The colour of an Ood's eyes changed with the level of telepathic activity, normally glowing bright-red but turning to white when not connected to a hive mind. Humans, who only knew the Ood in their telepathy-disabled form, misinterpreted the presence of red eyes as a disease, known as "red-eye". When the Doctor and Donna arrived on the Ood-Sphere, they discovered that the disease was caused by the Ood Brain's subconscious reasserting itself over the Ood thanks to the efforts of a member of 'Friends of the Ood' who had infiltrated the company secretly. Ood Operations' head, Klineman Halpen was unwillingly transformed into an Ood as a culmination of him taking hair tonic deliberately contaminated by his own Ood servant. The Ood were set free and allowed to roam their homeworld in peace.

With a stone skin held together by living magma, their shape resembles Roman Gladiators. Their ship fell to Earth thousands of years ago, shattering them into dust. The 62 AD caused by Vesuvuis re-awakened them, and they possessed human host in nearby Pompeii. These hosts helped the few adult Pyroviles who had survived to construct an energy conversion matrix to use Vesuvius's lava to conquer Earth and power the conversion of the whole human race into adult Pyroviles, to replace their lost homeworld of Pyrovilia, which, according to Lucius (a Roman Augur working for the Pyroviles), was "lost". Throwing water over them is fatal, since it causes their magma to cool. They are also capable of breathing fire; their breath is shown as powerful enough to incinerate a human in seconds. The Pyroviles were supposedly destroyed in the AD 79 eruption of Mount Vesuvius.

Info: The small baby Adipose are created by gathering excess fat from a human body via a signal from a necklace. If an emergancy happens, the Adipose can also convert bone, muscle and hair but it will make them a bit sick! 

In the story, their breeding world was lost, causing them to turn to the alien "Miss Foster" (Matron Cofelia) to create a new generation. She formulated a drug that would cause human fat (anatomically: 'adipose tissue') to parthenogenesis create some Adipose children. This process can also be achieved by using bone, hair and muscle tissue instead of fat, but only in emergency circumstances as this makes them ill and weak. The official Doctor Who website's Monster Files feature states that the baby Adipose were taken into care by the Shadow Proclamation.

Max Capricorn was the head of Max Capricorn Cruiseliners when the company was running smoothly. Max Capricorn was a cyborg (though only his head was still recognisably humanoid). He sabotaged one of his ships, the Titanic's voyage so he could get revenge on his company for sacking him! The fired him from his own company. On the Titanic there were robots called the heavenly hosts, which were made to look like angels, for the Christmassy feel. He reprogrammed them to his own orders, and ordered them to kill all witnesses on the ship, after he’d blackmailed the Captain to deactivate the shields, just before a meteoroid strike, and destroying part of it. Doing this, the engines would cut out, leaving the Titanic to fall into the Earth, and, due to the nuclear storm engines, would kill all life on Earth. Max Capricorn would be safe, as he kept in hiding in a omnistate impact chamber, in which nothing would harm him. The board members of his company would then be removed, being accused of mass murder. Using the money left behind, hee would retire then to the beaches of Penhaxico Two. Waitress Astrid Peth was able to stop him, but sacrificing herself. She used a forklift to lift his entire cybernetic casing and him over the side of one ot the Titanic's platforms. During the struggle Max' wheels cut off the brakes of the forklift. Both Max and Astrid tumbled down into the flaming engines far below.

During the Last Great Time War, the Master cowardly escaped, and hid himself as a human at the end of the universe, using a chameleon arch, containing his true form into a small fob watch. His human form was in the shape of a kindly Professor Yana, with his assistant, Chantho. They were trying to come up with a way for the humans on Malcassairo to escape to Utopia. But when the Doctor arrived, the Professor started to act strangely. Being drawn towards the fob watch, he opened it, and turned into his true form. He stole the Doctor’s Tardis, just after Chantho shot him, before whe, too, died, and he regenerated. He went to Utopia, and saw what the humans had become, and so promised them the Earth. He came to early 21st century Britain, where he called himself Harold Saxon and successfully ran for the position of Prime Minister. This was achieved through the Archangel Network in the form of a subtle mind manipulation system that rang the drumming beat the Master heard in his head into the subconscious of every person on the planet, giving him the trust of the world. He faked a first contact with the Toclafane, what the humans had become in Utopia. Using the TARDIS, the Master built a paradox machine to facilitate the Toclafane Invasion. The Master used a Laser screwdriver to turn the Doctor into an elderly man, capturing both him and Jack Harkness though Martha Jones escaped. A year later, the Master was planning to unleash the Toclafane upon the universe using a countdown through the Archangel Network. However, the return of Martha Jones threatened his plans. He captured her, but Martha had told the world of the Doctor and to think his name at the end of Archangel's countdown, which the Doctor has spent the year telepathically infiltrating while the Master's prisoner. This empowered the Doctor massively and led to the Master's plans being foiled as Jack Harkness destroyed the paradox machine, reversing time back to the point of the takeover of Earth, undoing most of the Master's destruction in "The Year That Never Was".

The Toclafane are actually the humans from Malcassairo, from Utopia. Humans travelled to the planet Utopia, finding it dark, cold, and inhospitable. To survive, the Human-race evolved into the Toclafane, their final evolution. The Master flew there in the Doctor’s Tardis, with his wife, Lucy, and saw what the human race had become. He offered them the Earth, which was all part of his plan, and took them back in time! The Toclafane were cyborgs, the faces of Humans integrated into metal spheres that are sealed shut, making themselves "pretty". They became a hive mind, making themselves almost invincible, as well as evil and child-like in their personality. They are childlike because they tried degressing themselves into children. They could glide through the air, almost indestructible, even through space. Concealed within the sphere are spikes and blades that can extend. A Toclafane can use them to slice up a Human being. The spheres are also equipped with a laser that can turn Humans into ash. The spheres can be shot down by an electrical surge of 58.5 kiloamperes, transferred charge 510 mega joules precisely, however, this is most unlikely due to the amount of power and aming involved. The Master announced that he’d made contact with a race of friendly aliens. The Toclafane trusted the Master. The Master had, by this time, converted the TARDIS into a paradox machine, allowing the six billion Toclafane to invade Earth in their own past and change their own past history. With the Toclafane, the Master built the beginnings of a new Time Lord Empire with the army of six billion Toclafane.

The Futurekind were near human, but had sharp teeth to rip the flesh off their victims, had a hissing voice and looked like future thugs. They lived on the planet Malcassairo, and the guards at the entrance to Silo 16 had to check their teeth to see if they were human or not, as the Futurekind were too dangerous, and posed as a threat to the humans. The Futurekind were a primitive race, who possessed little technology, wearing simple animal skins and hunting with primitive spears and makeshift weapons. They also tattooed and cut themselves in various patterns, possibly as a way of identification or to inspire fear in their enemies. Little was ever known about them, except that they learnt to hunt Humans for flesh, as there was little else on the planet for food. There was, however, a myth amongst the refugee Humans that if Humanity did not reach the planet Utopia they themselves would evolve into Futurekind, making Futurekind merely mutated Humans. They permissibly died out when the Universe had ended, when Malcassairo had finally nova-ed later on that year.

The Weeping Angels, or Lonely Assassins were creatures from the early universe, which could send its victims back into the past at a single touch. The fed on the potential energy their victims could have had, if they had not zapped them back into the past. They had a special defence system, called quantum locking, in which when a living organism looked at them, they would turn to solid stone and not be able to move, and looked like normal statues. But when you blinked, or turned you back on they would move at incredible speed, to try to catch their victims. This was a problem when there is a group of one of more of them, as if they look at each other, they would stay like that forever. This is why they usually put their hands or arms in front of their faces, which looked like they were weeping, hence their given name, the Weeping Angels. They seemed to also have some sort of psychic abilities, as one was able to flicker and turn of a light bulb, just by pointing at it! They were the nicest of killers, as their method was to make them live to death, but in the past. A quartet of angels, in the year 2008, managed to stand the Doctor and Martha in the year 1969, leaving the Tardis behind. The Weeping Angels wanted access to the Tardis, to use it’s near temporal energy, in a process in which would be capable of turning of the Sun! The later found the key for the machine, but Sally Sparrow, looking at the angels, took it off them, wondering what the key was for. After that they started to stalk Sally, in attempt to get the key back, but were defeated when they surrounded the Tardis, with Sally inside. Sally had taken instructions from the Doctor. It de-materialised, leaving the angels looking at each other.

The Family of Blood were green, gaseous entities that could inhabit and control Human bodies. Before taking human form, the members of the Family of Blood were kept in small, spherical receptacles. They had very short-lifespans, lasting only 3 months. The members that were chasing the Doctor were made of a mother, father, son and daughter. While in Human form the Family could telepathically communicate together from a distance. They also had incredible sense of smell, tracking The Doctor with his scent. They also had access to the Host's memory, though they had some difficultly pretending to be Humans. The Family had a spaceship, with various features. They used technology to render their craft invisible to Humans. The Family also had scarecrow-like soldiers created by the son and placed into various fields. The Family encountered the Doctor and Martha Jones in 2007 and chased them throughout time and space with a stolen Time Agent vortex manipulator in order to steal from the Doctor some means of ensuring that they would live a longer lifespan. The Doctor was forced to turn himself into a Human using the Chameleon Arch in his TARDIS in order to escape them. The Doctor changed himself into John Smith, a teacher at a boy's school in England in 1913. The Family's quests for immortality ended when the Doctor was returned to his Time Lord state with the help of Martha, school nurse Joan Redfern and the telepathic Timothy Latimer. He fooled the Family with an olfactory misdirection and destroyed their spaceship by moving several switches in an act devised to look like an accident, destroyed the ship.

The scarecrows were made by the Family of Blood, who had come to Farringham School in 1913, to track down the Doctor, who was hiding as a human. They used them as their armies. They looked like ordinary English straw men, that were put in fields. They were not cybernetic in any way. They were just made of, simply, burlap and straw, and could not talk. According to Son of Mine, one of the Family of Blood, he made them using ‘molecular fringe animation, fashioned in the shape of straw men’. These scarecrows kidnapped Humans and took them to their spaceship to be used as bodies for the incorporeal Family. They were also used as an army to attack a boys school in 1913, where many were shot down. Eventually, they re-animated to do more of the Family's bidding. They were again inanimate after the family's defeat. Son of Mine was placed in suspended animation inside one of the scarecrows, by the Doctor, when they were defeated.

On the SS Pentallian, the crew scooped out the sun's heart and used it as fuel. It was so furious that it possessed a crew member called Korwin McDonnell and gave them 42 minutes to fix what they had done. Korwin had the power of the sun inside him and could burn people by opening his eyes, while looking at them. He first killed Abi Learner and then Erina Lessak. He then found his best friend, Ashton, and turned him into a Sun Possessed by grabbing onto him. Ashton launched an escape pod with Martha and Riley Vashtee inside. Korwin was about to kill his wife, Kath McDonnell, until Orin Scannell froze him. As Ashton was about to burn the Doctor, he felt the pain of Korwin and walked on. The Doctor took a spacesuit and climbed outside of the SS Pentallian and magnetised the escape pod but it wasn't long until the sun possessed him too. Kath froze Ashton and killed him, but Korwin continued to move. The Doctor was brought to the stasis chamber by Martha and Kath and was frozen, but Korwin turned off the power. Kath sacrificed herself to kill Korwin and they hurtled towards the sun. Riley, Martha and Orin dumped the fuel and the Doctor turned to normal and the SS Pentallian flew away from the sun.

Professor Lazarus was an elderly man that wanted to live forever. He feared death, due to his vivid memories of his childhood during the Second World War. While the war was on, he used to sit in Southwark Cathedral, terrified. He wanted a second life, so to continue his work. So Lazarus developed a machine, which would make him younger. He was to test it publicly, and then make it open for public use afterwards. Martha’s sister, Tish had got a job with him, and so the Doctor and Martha tagged along to see. The machine seemed to do the trick, but the Doctor did his own calculations on the matter, using Lazarus’ DNA from a kiss on Martha’s hand, and found that the DNA was fluctuating. Lazarus had unlocked a gene long lost in human evolution, that was slowly turning him into a huge skeletal scorpion-like beast. The creature, once in true form, could turn human again when it wished. The monster needed more energy, as it was losing it, and so started to eat a lot, and drain its victims of life, absorbing the energy it needed with its tail, but left behind a mere skeleton with a bit of dead flesh left. The creature was finally defeated in Southwark Cathedral, when Martha and Tish got it up to a bell tower, and the Doctor played an organ as loud as possible, so that it interfered with Lazarus’ sonic equipment, and he fell to his death.

Dalek Sec was originally the leader of the Cult of Skaro. Sec served as the Dalek Commander throughout the Battle of Canary Wharf against the Cybermen. When all the other Daleks and Cybermen got sucked into the void, Sec and the other three Daleks Temporal Shifted away to New York in 1930. The four Daleks created their secret base beneath the Empire State Building, and began experiments to create Dalek mutants. But Sec wanted to go further. The Final Experiment would blend human with Dalek! After proving to be useful for the building plans for the state building, and starting to ‘act like a Dalek’, they took Mr. Diagoras as the human half of the experiment. The hybrid had a slimy, wrinkled face, with one eye six tentacles protruding from the lower part of the face and the brain showing. He wore the clothes Mr Diagoras wore when taken in. During this new form, Sec became more human after time, and started to feel human feelings and emotions, which the other Daleks found impure, and did not like! He started to feel that their creator was wrong about the Dalek race. He also did not kill the Doctor when he had the chance, but admired his intelligence, and asked him to help with the mutations. The other Daleks betrayed their leader, and Caan took control. He eventually died when the Daleks tracked the Doctor, and took Sec with them. They were about to kill the Doctor, when Sec got in the way on purpose, and was exterminated. They exterminated their own leader! The Doctor showed his respect for Sec by calling him the "cleverest Dalek ever" and the only creature that could have led the Daleks from the darkness.

The slaves only lived for a few weeks. They were vicious fighters and were trained to slit a Human's throat with their bare teeth. Most of them were killed by Martha Jones and Lazlo with electricity from a lightning strike.

The Macra were a crustacoid race that survived on unclean and poisonous gases, to humans, but the Macra consumed all they wanted. In New Earth, they hid under the New New York motorway, which was gridlocked at that time, in all the fumes given off by the (flying) cars, which made it really foggy, as it was all underground with no ventilation. A colony of Macra had escaped from New New York Zoo and made their way to the motorway. Like they normally did, they fed off the poisonous gases, and occasionally on a stray car on the ‘Fast Lane’, which wanted a faster route. These Macra had gigantic claws, which they could use to grab whole cars. They had glowing eyes, on the top of stalks, protruding from their heads, and had six, thin legs. They used movement to hunt, and didn’t show much sign of intelligence when the Tenth Doctor encountered them. They were defeated when the Doctor, aided by the face of Boe, who gave his life, opened up all the trapped people on the motorway, and all the fumes, their food, escaped.

The true form of a Carrionite resembled a female with wrinkled skin and large clawed hands, with sharp canine teeth. However, Carrionites could assume a near-Human form, and the Carrionite Lilith was able to assume the form of a beautiful young woman. Carrionites could fly, dematerialise and rematerialise at will, communicate with other Carrionites from a distance and use voodoo dolls to cause odd deaths in enemies. Though their abilities were described as witchcraft, it was actually based on a word-based science, as opposed to the mathematics of most species. This technology relied on the right words and the right places, such as the Carrionite's use of Globe Theatre's structure. The Carrionites waged a war on a species called the Hervoken who had similar powers. However, the Eternals banished them and the Hervoken to the Deep Darkness. Several billion years later in the late 1500s, a group of three - Bloodtide, Doomfinger and Lilith - escaped using words of power from the plays of William Shakespeare, partly the result of the writer's grief at the death of his son. They influenced the design of the 14-sided Globe Theatre, based on the planets of their star system, and planned to use his new play, Love's Labours Won, to free the rest of their race from the Darkness and take over Earth, to establish the "Millennium of Blood". The last few lines of the play were written by Shakespeare in a trance to be a spell said by one of the cast of the play to open a portal from the Deep Darkness to this universe. The portal was closed and the race of witches and all copies of Love's Labours Won vanished into the Darkness, thanks to the Doctor.

The Judoon are a rhino-headed humanoid race. They are outer space police-for-hire, or interplanetary thugs. They are two metres high and are heavily built. Their large lungs help them to breathe in environments with low-level oxygen. They did not take any messing from anyone. If anyone commited physical assault on them they would see it as a crime, and execute them immediately without trial! They would do anything to complete the task at hand. The Judoon did not see anyone innocent, as they could be helping out with a crime. Their language were many short words, all ending in the letter ‘o’. They executed their victims by using a directed energy beam, triggered from a gun they wore on a belt around their waist. They also had a cylindrical scanner, which they used to ‘catologue’ people. Those who had been scanned and deemed to not be a suspect would have a black cross drawn on the back of their right hand. Most of their technology was a red/black colour. The Judoon also had a contact device that reaches every Judoon helmet, allowing the Judoon Captain to give orders with a press of a button. It is the same device as the language assimilator. Their spacecraft are large cylindrical craft, with four boosters at the bottom and four claws at the bottom which served as landing gear. Each would hold several thousand troops. They use H2O Scoop to transport buildings across space.

The Empress of the Racnoss was the leader of the Racnoss empire, which the Gallifreyans destroyed 4.6 billion years ago, but the Empress was the only one of her kind that survived and didn’t hibernate in the Earth's core. Instead she thrived in her ship, the Webstar, orbiting Earth for billions of years until the Torchwood Institute developed Huon particles with which she could revive her race. She met the Doctor in a secret location under the Thames Barrier, trying to awaken her long-dead race ("her children") with the Huon energy within the bodies of Donna Noble and Lance Bennett after being fed it within drinks. Lance was originally affiliated with the Empress, however she sent him down to the centre of the Earth. The plan was stopped when the Doctor used controls stolen from a Robot Santa to stop the Santas shooting him and to bring bombs disguised as baubles from a Robotic Christmas Tree flying around the secret room and then detonating, crashing into pipes, and letting the Thames flood into the room and surrounding the Empress with fire, and then finally drowning the Racnoss with the Thames water. She teleported to her Webstar, however the lack of Huon energy left the Webstar defenceless and allowed the British Army to destroy it.

The Cult of Skaro were a secret group of four Daleks created by the emperor. Their names were Dalek Sec, Caan, Jast and Thay. The black Dalek, Dalek Sec, was their leader. They were a secret order, who were to think like their enemies in order to destroy them, although their original purpose was to imagine new ways of survival. During the Last Great Time War, they operated as a final strategic reserve - rather than fighting, they escaped into the space between universes, along with what they called the Genesis Ark, a piece of Time Lord technology. The Torchwood Institute's meddling began to open the barrier to the Void, which had been broke down by the Cult's Void ship. Torchwood Tower, known to the public as Canary Wharf, had been built around the gap into the Void so that Torchwood 1 could study it and use its energy. When the Void Ship opened, the Cult exited the ship and declared war, or pest control, against the Cybermen that had invaded Earth from the Parallel universe, thereby leading to the Battle of Canary Wharf. The Cult escaped the battle through a temporal shift and ended up in New York City in 1930.

The Cybermen from the Parallel universe are different from the ones that were first created in ours. These Cybermen were created from taking the brain from the human, and placing them in Cyber bodies, so that the brain is the only thing human. These Cybermen are stronger and more heavily built. It has not been confirmed yet if they are still allergic to gold. Their weapons are their electrified hands and a small wrist-mounted energy weapon. They have a chip that removes the emotions and feelings they have, so that they are mentally stronger and to prevent them realizing who they are. They came across to our world when they followed the Dalek void ship, across the void, but at first, only came out as ghosts. They declared war on the Daleks, and the two races fought against each other. The Cybermen boosted their numbers to fight by upgrading humans. The war was stopped, however, when the Doctor managed to trap both the Daleks and the Cybermen in the void. When the came across the void and entered our world, they now had built-in lasers and were under the leadership of a Cyber Leader. When one Cyber Leader is slain, the Cybermen just download the rank into another and therefore always have a leader.

The Isolus were tiny empathic beings which looked like white flowers with streaming tendrils. They travelled on solar winds. They were originally born as spores from their mothers. These Isolus would travel through space in heat-powered pods and would grow for thousands of years before they become an adult, and in order to pass the time, use their ionic power to create fantasy worlds to play in. The ionic power of an Isolus to create these virtual worlds could also bring inanimate objects like drawings to life, as well as transform living things into drawings. These young Isolus also required strong emotions, specifically love, to survive. Isolus travelled in groups of around 4 billion and required constant companionship to feed off the love of their siblings. In year 2012, one Isolus was separated from its family after a solar flare. It landed on Earth and searched for heat and a friend. It was able to find Chloe Webber, another lonely child. Chloe swallowed the Isolus. Inside Chloe's body, the spore gave Chloe its special powers. One child was not enough for the Isolus, so it tried to use its powers to find more friends.

The Abzorbaloff was a large green alien, that disguised itself as a business man called Victor Kennedy, to try and get to the Doctor. It absorbed it’s victims by the touch, and their faces appeared on its body somewhere. It had a special cane, a limitation field, which stopped it from being absorbed by the Earth. It planned to absorb the Doctor’s knowledge and memories, so he found a picture of the Doctor on LINDA’s website, and recruited himself, becoming their leader. They weren’t happy with their new member, but they carried on, as they were getting closer to finding the Doctor. To keep it going, at the end of each meeting, Victor kept one member behind, so he could absorb them. One time, however, Ursula forgot her phone, and went back to get it, while Victor was in his true form. It absorbed Ursula and chased Elton. The Tardis turned up when he was about to be absorbed.He was defeated when the remnants of the absorbed members of LINDA absorbed rallied together to pull him apart from the inside. When Pope then broke the cane, the Abzorbaloff's limitation field inside it was destroyed. This caused his absorption ability to go out of control, and his body to collapse into a gooey puddle. The remnants then seeped into the ground.

When the Doctor saw it, the Beast was a gigantic horned demon, locked away at the centre of the planet Krop Tor. It claimed to have been locked away before the creation of the universe, and that it had many names, including Satan. Whether it is the devil everyone fears in hell, is unknown. The Beast had the power for its mind to leave its physical form, and possess people, including the Ood, and Toby Zed. While its victims were possessed, their irises turned a crimson red, and, if it was a human, strange markings appeared all over their skin and the pitch of their voice could change dramatically. Hosts could also survive a vacuum. It could also display itself through various types of electronic media, such as computers and hologram viewers. It is known that the Disciples of the Light confined the Beast to the planet later known as Krop Tor and placed the planet in orbit around the black hole K37 Gem 5. If he ever tried to escape, the field holding the planet in orbit would break and the planet would be sucked into the black hole. He claimed that the devils and demons that appear in various religions were based on him.

The Ood were a telepathic humanoid species, who have slimy red tentacles on the lower portion of their faces. They have no vocal chords, and so speak to each other through telepathy. At the time of The Impossible Planet (43K2.1), every human had an Ood servant. They didn’t seem to mind this, as they said, if they didn’t serve, they would just die. There was a group, called Friends of the Ood, who believed the Ood should be free. In the story, the Ood became possessed by the Beast, and made them his ‘legion’, and took orders from him. Their eyes turned red, when the were possessed Their telepathic field raised to Basic 30, which meant that they were screaming in their heads, and then to Basic 100, which meant brain death! They started trying to kill the crew on Sanctuary Base 6. They were defeated when Danny Bartock, the expedition member in charge of them, broadcast a telepathic flare which reduced their field to Basic Zero. This created a "brainstorm" which caused them to collapse. When Krop Tor was sucked into the black hole, the Doctor was unable to save any of the Ood on the base, who had just been freed from the Beast.

The Wire was a criminal alien life form, that’d been executed by its people on the planet Hermethica, but managed to preserve itself. On Earth, it took the form of a BBC continuity announcer to communicate. It hid inside television signals, and would be able to go from one television set to another, just like a normal signal given off. The Wire fed off the mental signals from humans, by using electrical tendrils, to leave its victim mindless, and also without a face. The Wire arrived on Earth in the year 1953, around the time of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. It forced an electric shop owner, Mr Magpie, to help it sell cheap TVs all over North London, so it could get a large feast. It wanted to take many people, when many were all watching the Queen’s coronation. So it told Mr Magpie how to make a portable television, and go right to the top of the transmission tower, on Alexandra Palace, where the television was broadcasting from. The Wire could then transmit itself to the three million people watching, hoping that it was going to create enough energy to re-create her original body again, but the plan was thwarted by the Doctor and Tommy.

John Lumic was a business tycoon and owner of Cybus Industries and the creator of Cybus Cybermen. Born in Great Britain (he called it "the homeland"), he advanced the entire planet through such inventions as the EarPod. Though he publicly denied rumors of ill health, Lumic suffered from a terminal illness and used a motorized wheelchair as transport. He devoted all of his resources to discovering a way to extend his own lifespan. To this end, he used Cybus Industries' front organisation, International Electromatics, to abduct homeless people as a test subjects. These captives were transported to Lumic's factory in London, Battersea Power Station, where they were upgraded into Cybermen. Lumic took strict measures to keep the project secret, even killing a member of his staff who threatened to blow it. Once his breathing apparatus was damaged by Mr. Crane, Lumic realized that he would soon die and pleaded with his Cybermen to help him. The Cybermen reasoned that keeping the old man alive would be redundant, and against Lumic's protests, forcibly upgraded him into their new master, the Cybercontroller.

The Cybus Cybermen originated in another universe, where they were created by John Lumic, the owner of Cybus Industries. They believed that all people must be "upgraded" to Cyber-form as they were weak. These Cybermen believed that emotions were proof that they destroyed the individual, which was why they were converted to remove them. Conversion involved removing the brain of the subject and placing it within a suit of armour. This process was horrific with screams often being heard by the victims throughout the procedure. Once complete, the newly developed Cyberman had a special implant placed within their brains which prevented them from feeling their emotions or registering their past memories making them cold calculating machines. However, if the implants were disrupted then the Cybermen entered into a traumatic state as they were overloaded by the pain of the conversion resulting in them dying in agony or their heads exploding from the overload of emotions.

The Clockwork Repair Droids were androids who came to stalk and take Madame de Pompadour's brain in 18th century France, believing it could be used to repair their ship.
The Clockwork Robots began as repair robots on board the spaceship SS Madame De Pompadour in the 51st century. Their only purpose was to fix the ship if it broke down. When the ship did break down in the Dagmar Cluster, they did not have the right parts and so they used the 50 crew members on board, using their body parts to repair the ship. The last part they needed was a brain and they believed that only a 37 year old brain (the same age of their ship) would work. They modified the ship's quantum drive to open multiple time windows to 18th century France and passed through it at various stages of Madame de Pompadour's life, attempting to find her in her 37th year.
They followed camouflage procedure to blend into the surroundings by dressing in 18th Century costumes. They are equipped with a short range teleporter, scanners, tranquilizers, and sharp saw-knifes for part removal. They can also heat themselves up if they get frozen and empty unwanted fluids out of their system. Whenever they are in the room, they make an unnerving 'tick tock' noise from their clockwork parts, which means they often break the clock in the room to avoid raising suspicion. The Doctor defeated them by disconnecting the time window that led back to the ship, which caused them to shut down from lack of purpose.

The Krillitanes are bat-like humanoids, with wings, sharp claws and a flattened face with fangs. The colours of their skin varied and could be anything from a sort of pink to charcoal grey. They are smaller than humans, they sleep upside down, and they have very sensitive hearing. They can also change into a morphic illusion of a human, so look like a human. Krillitanes are carnivorous, but have been known to eat rats. They make Krillitane Oil, which makes humans more clever, but is deadly to Krillitanes. In 2007, a group of Krillitanes led by Brother Lassar had landed in Deffry Vale in London, the arrival of their spacecraft marked by UFO activity and the occasional appearance of a localised orange glow in the sky. They had taken over Deffry Vale High School. Using Krillitane oil and an advanced computer network, they were using the brains and imagination of the students as a type of computer in order to work out the Skasas Paradigm.

This alien werewolf fell to Earth in Scotland, in 1540, where it landed in St. Catherine’s Glen, near a monastery. Upon impact, only a single cell survived. It was passed down centuries by incubating in hosts, by biting them. Monks at the monastery kidnapped young boys to make them into hosts for the werewolf to bite. This group of monks were called the Brethren, and worshipped the Werewolf instead of God! At the full moon, the host would transform into the werewolf and go rampaging around. The Werewolf seemed to show an aversion to mistletoe. Whether this was forced on by the Brethren or an allergy is unclear. In 1879, they diverted Queen Victoria to Torchwood House, where the Werewolf would be waiting to bite her and pass on the cell, to make her the new host, leading to the creation of the ‘Empire of the Wolf’. The plot was foiled by the Doctor and Rose, when they used a telescope, which was actually a light amplifiation chamber and the Koh-i-Norr diamond to focus the moonshine on the wolf, dispelling it from Earth. Whether the Werewolf bit Queen Victoria or not is unclear.

The Sisters of Plenitude were an group of Catkind nuns, who spend their lives helping the sick. One group of the Sisters had a hospital named Pleasure Gardens on New Earth, nearby New New York. This hospital was created before the Humans got there and was created to deal with all their diseases. They had cures for nearly every known disease and were able to heal their patients with remarkable efficiency. Many of the treatments shouldn't have been discovered for at least a thousand years, according to the Doctor. Unfortunately, these amazing skills were gained by using thousands and thousands of grown human clones. They were infected with every known disease and killed if they started to show signs of thought. This was due to the fact that other, more humane methods were too slow to deal with all the diseases. These disease carriers were released by Lady Cassandra and eventually cured by the Doctor. The Sisters were later arrested by the NNYPD for their actions.

The Sycorax were humanoid in basic appearance with glowing red eyes. Sycorax had both an endo- and exoskeleton. This exoskeleton covered part of their head (giving them a skull-like appearance), while the rest of their face was vulnerable skin. They originated on an asteroid in the distant JX82 system, known as the Fire Trap. At some point in Sycorax history, many tribes left their home region in their Asteroid ships to explore space, as well as conquer and enslave other planets, expanding the empire. In 2006 a Sycorax Asteroid ship inhabited by the Halvinor Tribe entered the solar system in an attempt to enslave humanity and steal their resources. A human space probe, Guinevere One, crashed into the spaceship near Mars. With a sample of A+ blood from the probe, they would use blood control to force humanity into surrendering. Their leader controlled everyone with the A+ blood type, commanding them to stand on the top of the tallest buildings. They delivered their ultimatum: half of the population to be sold into slavery or one third to kill themselves.

In the Last Great Time War, this Dalek Emperor, possibly different from those before it, led the Dalek race into battle, but was believed to have been destroyed, at the end of the war. It’s ship had barely survived, and it fell through time and afterwards it went into hiding and went on to rebuild a new race of Daleks. This Emperor was a Dalek mutant floating in a transparent tank of liquid, topped by a giant-sized Dalek dome, complete with eyestalk, and flanked by panels of armour dotted by Dalek "bumps". Because this Emperor had recreated the Dalek race, it saw itself as a god, and had transformed its Daleks from fascists to religious fanatics centred around them worshipping it. This Emperor was supposedly destroyed by Rose Tyler, along with the rest of the Daleks, after she had absorbed the whole of the time vortex into her head, through the Tardis, and became the ‘Bad Wolf’, which had been following her and the Doctor around for ages!

Satellite Five, later known as the Game Station, was a spacestation in orbit around the Earth, which broadcasted 600 channels of non-stop news to humans. It had a central cylindrical structure ringed by three hoops. The purpose of the hoops was unknown. Satellite Five was 501 floors tall. Assuming a regulation floor height shown onscreen as five meters, and giving approximately two 'floors' on each terminus of the central cylinder for the 'caps' seen, this gives the Station a total height of 2,525 meters without the (unknown) hull thickness. It went online from the year 190,909, during the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire. It lasted until the year 200,000, when Satellite Five shut down, due to the actions of the Doctor, after he realised that humanity was being manipulated by and unknown source, later found out to be the Jagrafess. This had actually made matters worse, as humanity was reduced to slavery. One hundred years later, Satellite Five had become the Gamestation, run by the Bad Wolf Cooperation and the controller. Any person, at any time would be teleported away from where they were, into a deadly, killer game show! The main aim of the game was to try and get yourself out alive! There were such shows as the Weakest Link and Big Brother. If you failed in the games, you were (supposedly) disintegrated. The Doctor, Rose and Jack ended up on the station. The Doctor found out that the Daleks had been in fact controlling humanity, hiding their transmissions within the Gamestation, and Satellite Five, helped from the Jagrafess. The Doctor realised that the Daleks were controlling humanity, the emperor harvesting humans collected from the shows, and so the humans had not actually died when they were 'disintegrated' from the Gamestation, and teleported onto the Dalek ships, to be made into new Daleks!

Blon escaped the destruction of 10 Downing Street and became mayor of Cardiff, beginning the Blaidd Drwg (Bad Wolf) nuclear power plant project above the Cardiff rift to destroy Earth, not to sell as fuel, but with the purpose of using a tribophysical waveform macro-kinetic extrapolator to "surf" into space.

In the process of attempting this she forced open a panel of the TARDIS and gazed into the Heart of the TARDIS and was regressed backwards along her timeline to the form of an egg, the Doctor returned her to her home planet to be placed with another family.

Jack worked as a con man, finding pieces of space junk and directing them to soon-to-be disaster sites, selling them to passers by, and letting them get destroyed before the buyers could pick up their merchandise. He would, at some point, acquire a sleek, small Chula spacecraft, fitted for human use, which could turn invisible.
In 1941, while pulling a con with a Chula Ambulance during the London Blitz, he spotted Rose Tyler hanging from a barrage balloon and rescued her, taking her aboard his Chula ship. Quickly finding out Rose came from the future, he suspected that other Time Agents had discovered him. Shortly after, Rose introduced him to the Ninth Doctor. Together, the trio worked to stop the Empty Child plague brought about by the Ambulance's nanogenes. Although he was almost killed carrying in his ship a German bomb about to explode, the Doctor and Rose rescued him just before the ship exploded. He accompanied them on their subsequent adventures.

The Empty Child was actually a young boy called Jamie, who’d been killed in an air raid during the London Blitz (massive head trauma on the left side, partial collapse of his chest cavity on the right and a gash on the back of his right hand), wearing his gas mask at the time. Captain Jack Harkness, a Time Agent purposely crashed a Chula Ambulance, with effective Chula nanogenes inside. These nanogenes first came into contact with Jamie when he was dead. They reanimated him, but still with all the injuries and the gas mask stuck on his face. These nanogenes then thought that that was what humans were supposed to look like. The nanogenes then went to other people, whoever Jamie touched, and they ‘repaired’ them as well, still with injuries and gas mask. Whenever anybody with the ‘disease’ touched anyone, then they too would become like them, turning into gas mask zombies. The reason behind them all saying ‘Are you my mummy?” was due to Jamie wanting his mummy before he died, so he still thought that. When he found his mother, Nancy, who first claimed to be his sister, the nanogenes realised they had got human DNA wrong, and they turned Jamie back to his original state, alive, including everyone else who had been turned the same way!

The Reapers are creatures that seek out disturbances in time i.e. temporal paradoxes. They resemble flying reptilian beings with sleek heads, four long hooked arms and mouths on their chests. When there is a disturbance they will leave the time vortex and try to sort things out. But not by trying to put what is right back together, but to devour everything it sees. They tend to go for the oldest objects, as they find those more tasty. When Rose touched herself as a baby in the past, the Reapers gained more power and broke through into the church. In our world they are physical creatures, and so cannot pass through solid objects. Older objects seem to be more effective barriers. They would engulf they’re prey, with a flash of light in their mouths and leave no traces. The Reapers came into our world when Rose saved her Dad from being killed by a Hit and Run driver. Her Dad, Pete knew the only way to get the timelines back on track again would be to kill himself, using the car that would have killed him.

The Jagrafess (Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe or Max, as he was known by the Editor) was the controller of the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire, via the news-broadcasting station, Satellite Five. It was an enormous, grey, lump of fat, muscle and water. It contained a lot of heat, but it needed to be cool to stay alive.

Satellite Five was the only place far of its home planet to produce enough cold air for it. All the heat from Floor 500, where the Jagrafess was, was being transferred to all 499 floors below it, to keep it cool.

The Jagrafess could not work all controls by himself, so had someone to do that. This person was called the Editor, the human servant of the Jagrafess. He managed all operations. The Jagrafess and the Editor hid in Floor 500, and no one knew about them in lower levels. Whenever someone got promoted to come to Floor 500, they would stay there.

But the Jagrafess wasn’t really in charge. It was all part of a plan. It took orders from the Doctor’s oldest enemies, The Daleks…

The Jagrafess was defeated by the Doctor, when Floor 500 overheated, and the Jagrafess exploded!

Henry Van Statten was the multi-billionaire owner of the internet and the head of an American Company called GeoComTex. He was also a collector of various different alien artifacts, which he kept in his underground base, called the Vault, fifty floors under Utah. In his collection, there included a creature, which he called the a ‘metaltron’. Little did he know that he had actually acquired a Dalek, that had survived the Time War! His work partners were Diana Goddard and Adam Mitchell. The Doctor and Rose landed, in the middle of his collection, after following the Dalek’s distress signal. Van Statten showed the Doctor, gis ‘metaltron’, but the Doctor knew what it really was, and so ordered for the Dalek to be destroyed, worried of killing many people on the planet, but van Statten refused! Van Statten captured the Doctor, after the Doctor owning up to be an alien, as he wanted to find out more about his species. Rose had touched the Dalek, and the DNA had been transferred from Rose to the Dalek, but nothing was going to stop the Dalek from killing everyone it saw! It wasn't until Rose's emotions had started seeping through into the Dalek, and it became more friendly! It did not kill Rose when it had the chance to, but spared her life! In the end, it destroyed itself, after realising how much of a monster it's race was, and decided it doesn't deserve to live! After the Dalek had killed two hundred GeoComTex personnel he was taken away, mind-wiped and left on the street for keeping something so dangerous! Diana Goddard ordered this and took over.

The Slitheen’s use of their compression fields mean that they are vulnerable to acetic acid, so if you’re ever in trouble with them, a quick bit of vinegar would kill them nicely! Another side effect of the field was that, due to the gas exchange, the Slitheen could not stop farting. The smell it made was very similar to bad breath, and the Doctor said it was due to the calcium decay. They came to Earth to turn the planet into a huge reactor pile, and then sell the remains of the planet of as cheap, starship fuel. They made a real pig look alien, to distract attention from their main plan, and flew a spaceship, with the pig inside, into Big Ben! The Slitheen family disguised themselves as English government members. They took the skins of the body and hid inside them, using a zip they made on the body’s forehead, to open it up again, so they could take the skins off. The Doctor helped defeat them using a missile onto 10 Downing Street, where the Slitheen were stationed.

The Slitheen are large green savage criminals. They are eight feet tall, and have large claws at the end of their arms to use in attack. The Slitheen came to Earth, after being thrown out from their home planet, Raxacoricofallapatorious, that if they ever return there, they would be executed! Female Slitheen are known to being able to produce poison. They are able to make poison darts at the end of the finger, which they then fire at their enemy, or they use their poisonous breath. The Slitheen use compression fields, which they have around their necks, which makes them smaller, so that they can fit into skin suits they make from humans that they have killed. They use these skin suits as disguises, so people don’t know who they really are. The suits do have limits though, so the Slitheen family usually just use fat people, as they are too big.

The Gelth were a humanoid species who lost their bodies in the Time War. During the War, billions of Gelth were turned into gas, which they could shape themselves into wraith-like forms. These Gelth needed to be in a gaseous environment to survive.
Discovering the Cardiff rift to Gabriel Sneed's mortuary in 1869, they were naturally attracted to the area, since they could inhabit the gas found in the pipes and emerge through gas lamps. They also discovered that they could survive in the gases in a decomposing Human and as the Doctor put it, "use it as a vehicle". While inhabiting the corpses, the Gelth could control and move the dead humans as walking corpses who leaked out luminous blue gas. The Gelth's control of the corpses was tenuous at best. The Gelth contacted Gwyneth, Sneed's servant, who had psychic ability. She thought of the Gelth as angels. Through Gwyneth, the Gelth spoke with the Doctor.

Spacestation File: Platform One

Platform One was a Observation space station designed as an observation deck for various events. In 5,000,000,000 it was orbiting Earth and some of the richest and most powerful people in the Universe where Humans existed gathered there to witness the destruction of Earth. It was an alpha class space station, meaning it was 'top of the range'
Platform one was capable of having docked several shuttles, and used Sun filters to shield from the heat of the sun. The use of weapons, teleportation or religion was forbidden on the platform under the Peace treaty 5.4/cup/16.
It was staffed by Steward, the host, and a large group of maintenance staff. The Platform also had plumbers to look after the air ducts including Raffalo. The shafts also carried hot water and depending on the area of the blockage a suite could be left without hot water.
Platforms three, six and fifteen might have been of similar design. It also had a suite called the Manchester Suite.

The Autons were the physical representations of the Nestene Consciousness. Autons themselves were no more than animated plastic, whether that be in the form of tailor's dummies, mannequins, dolls, armchairs or replica daffodils - even exact plastic replicas of people. The Nestene Consciousness came from a distant planet and had a form similar to an octopus, but thousands of years ago the Nestene got rid of this many-tentacled body and became pure mind - an energy source with a curious affinity for plastic. The Consciousness split itself into a large group of minds which drifted through space seeking different planets to conquer and colonise. It is presumed that the Nestene Consciousness had already colonised several planets before it came to Earth.
